Melissa began her recruiting career in the early 1990s when she joined a large regional staffing firm and helped launch its new accounting and financial division. A few years later, she established a partnership with a regional CPA and business consulting group and started a regional executive recruiting firm. Today, Melissa runs Miller Feinbaum Recruiting, where she focuses her search efforts on key professional positions in the area of operations, finance, sales, marketing and human resources. She brings to the table more than 20 years of business experience in sales, management and recruiting, as well as an ingrained philosophy of doing what it takes to obtain the “best and the brightest” employee for your organization.

After college, Melissa cut her teeth in the business world by working with her father, Marvin Miller of Schrivers, Inc., a leading men’s and women’s retailer. Marvin and his father were very active business leaders in the Knoxville community and led the way for Melissa to follow in their footsteps. She attributes much of her success to the business ethics and high standards that her father and grandfather instilled in her.

True to family tradition, Melissa stays active in the Knoxville community. Her leadership roles include board member of the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership, board member of Random Acts of Flowers, committee member of Temple Beth El, member of Tennessee Valley Human Resource Association, board member of the Knoxville Jewish Alliance, member of Nucleus Knoxville and the former president and educational committee chair of The Institute of Management Accountants. Additionally, she is a past board member of the American Cancer Society, past member of the Pellissippi Business Advisory Board, past member of the Association of Women Accountants, past committee chair of the Dogwood Arts Festival and was involved in The Downtown Organization.

Today, Melissa stays abreast of the latest hiring and recruiting techniques, along with local and national employment trends. By studying various periodicals, attending seminars and engaging multiple employers, she stays up to date and ready to assist your organization.
